Team cbdMD Athlete Jorge Masvidal Defeats Nate Diaz in UFC Welterweight Main Event

With his dramatic third-round TKO of Nate Diaz, Jorge Masvidal is now officially recognized as the baddest man in the game – and he has the belt to prove it.

The bout between Team cbdMD Athlete Jorge Masvidal and Nate Diaz was arguably one of the most anticipated UFC matches of the year. The two fighters delighted the live audience in New York City’s Madison Square Garden, and television viewers across the world, with three rounds of an all-out brawl.

Masvidal ultimately prevailed when the ringside doctor for the New York State Athletic Commission declared Diaz unfit to continue after the third round due to the severe cut above his right eye. The fight was called off by Dan Miragliotta, and the official record declared the fight a win by technical knockout for Masvidal.

At the fight’s end, Masvidal landed 112 blows to Diaz’s 43.

While this was not an official championship bout, the hype around the event led Dana White to have a special belt made for the winner. The colorfully named prize – the “BMF” in the Game Belt – was awarded to Masvidal by pro wrestler turned actor, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

At the post-fight press conference, the newly crowned “BMF” celebrated by devouring pizza two slices at a time. While speaking with the press, Masvidal expressed his interest in a rematch with Diaz and had choice words for controversial fighter Conor McGregor.

Speculation abounds about Masvidal’s next bout. Possibilities include a rematch with Diaz, a Welterweight title bout against the winner of Kamaru Usman vs. Colby Covington at UFC 245, and a big-money bout against McGregor.

From all of us at cbdMD, congratulations to the BMF – Jorge Masvidal! We can’t wait to see what accomplishment you’ll bring to Team cbdMD next!
