A collegiate athlete of the University of Oregon, the former Carolina Panthers standout is the organization’s all-time leading rusher with 1,699 attempts, 7,318 yards, and 51 touchdowns over 10 seasons.

A Washington native, Stewart was a football and track star for Timberline High School. He holds the Washington state record for total rushing yards and the school record for the fastest 100-meter dash at 10.78 seconds.

At the University of Oregon, Stewart amassed 4,889‬ all-purpose yards in his three years with the Ducks. He was a particularly dangerous kick returner, leading the NCAA with 646 yards in 2006.

The Panthers selected Stewart with the 13th overall selection of the 2008 NFL Draft. He spent 10 years with the franchise before playing one season with the New York Giants.

On April 23, 2019, he signed a one day contract with the Panthers – allowing him to end his NFL career in Carolina.

Stewart is well known throughout the Carolinas for his extensive charity work. He is an avid musician and the owner of Charlotte Lately – a media platform devoted to boosting local businesses and nonprofits.
