NSF International GMP Registration for Dietary Supplements
There’s a lot of jargon there that may not mean a lot to you. But it’s really important, so let’s break it down.
GMP is short for good manufacturing practices – an established set of rules for how products are sourced, made, tested, and stored. These standards are used to ensure consistency across product batches and to prevent contamination and spoilage. In wellness products, like dietary supplements, GMPs are set forth and mandated under federal law.
But who is NSF International? They’re a highly respected organization that serves a huge range of industries. Their stated purpose “to facilitate the development of public health standards and provide certifications that help protect food, water, consumer products and the environment.”

US Hemp Authority Certification

Do cbdMD Products Give You a High?
Not our Broad Spectrum products as all of our broad spectrum products are THC-free* and made with ingredients from industrial hemp – not marijuana. Our Full Spectrum products however do possess qualities that may result in a psychoactive feeling or "high." Learn more about Full Spectrum CBD here.
Will cbdMD Products Show Up on a Drug Test?
Since we do not use THC in our Broad Spectrum formulas, our broad spectrum CBD oil products should not show up on drug tests. However, we encourage you to speak with your doctor and employer before you use any new products.
Is cbdMD Broad Spectrum, Full Spectrum, or Isolated CBD Products?
Most of our products contain our Superior Broad Spectrum CBD formula, including CBD, CBN, CBG, and select plant terpenes. This allows you to experience CBD benefits alongside the entourage effect.
