Each year, more than 3 million people in the United States struggle with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) on a daily basis. Routine activities become increasingly difficult as typical symptoms of PTSD - anxiety, sleep apnea, and depression - lead to impaired focus and an increase in adversarial behaviors. Even with common treatment, triggers of intense emotion and unpredictable reactions can last for years.
The National Permanente Medical Group published a recent case study producing clinical data supporting cannabidiol oil (CBD) as a successful therapy option for PTSD. After unfavorable results from conventional pharmaceutical medications, physicians carefully administered CBD oil as an alternative in this study. Prior to bed, 25mg of cannabidiol supplements were taken with an additional 6mg-12mg taken as needed for anxiety throughout the day. Results showed a gradual increase in the quality and overall quantity of sleep along with a significant decrease in anxiety. In just five months, the use of CBD resulted in peaceful sleep throughout the entire night; it also helped navigate day-to-day responsibilities without any difficulties. The primary findings indicate that CBD oil safely reduces anxiety and improves the sleep of people struggeling with PTSD without any side effects.
