Bio
Cami is a content writer, holistic practitioner, and restorative yoga teacher in Charlotte, North Carolina. She holds a Masters in Professional Writing and a Bachelors in English and Creative Writing from Illinois State University and is Yoga Alliance (YTT 200) certified.
Before moving to Charlotte, Cami served as the communications director for the state veterinary medical association and its nonprofit animal welfare charity partner in Denver, Colorado. Her work supported veterinarians and the underserved pet-owning population, raising awareness of the crucial role of veterinary medicine and the human-animal bond.
She was first-hand witness to the legalization of cannabis in Colorado and the tremendous opportunities and benefits it brought to the people and the state. Living with a disabled veteran spouse who relied on the medical cannabis benefits available turned her into an avid advocate for the potential of cannabis and CBD.
Once recreational use became legal, Colorado veterinarians found themselves in uncharted territory as owners wanted to know if CBD could help their pets as well. Cami became an urgent voice for putting the discussion in the spotlight and helped bring CBD and cannabis education opportunities to the veterinary community.
It wasn’t until she moved to Charlotte and joined cbdMD that she was able to work directly in the industry and bring her passion for alternative wellness options for both pets and people together. Her work at cbdMD is focused on support of their veterinarian-formulated line of products for pets.
With extensive experience in writing, editing, publishing, and marketing, she credits her success to creativity, communication, chocolate, and the serial comma. She firmly believes that travel, meditation, mindfulness, gratitude, and a good cup of coffee are the answer to almost everything.
